In the spirit of giving and gratitude, Tabitha Moser, Riptide Team Operation Lead, took a team of Riptide athletes to help deliver much needed fire wood to those in our community. Riptide partnered with Shane McDaniel. McDaniel and his two twin boys have been chopping wood for those who cannot afford firewood to heat their homes.
Once Shane McDaniel advertised free firewood on Facebook, he was inundated with request for the free wood! Firewood can be expensive especially when you are deciding between food, needed medications, and running water. With forecasters predicting an exceptionally cold winter, Shane requested help from the community to deliver the wood to those in most need. This last Saturday, a few of our Riptide athletes loaded their trucks and delivered wood to a man who had a trampoline accident 26 years ago which left him paralyzed. Check out the pictures below!
