WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A PART OF LAKE STEVENS
RIPTIDE SELECT BASEBALL PROGRAM?
The Lake Stevens Riptide Select Baseball Program is made of competitive, developmental baseball teams from the greater Snohomish County area.
As part of the LSR teams, players will be involved in:

As part of the LSR teams, players will be involved in:
- Competition (leagues, tournaments, showcases)
- Age-appropriate athletic training
- Team-building events
- Character and leadership development
- College pathway program
Lake Stevens Riptide focuses on maximizing talent and minimizing injury accomplished through multiple founding principles including:
- Athletes are expected to engage in multiple sports and not baseball solely.
- Athletes are expected to take a physical break from competitive baseball for at least 3 months of each year.
- Our Winter Training Program and Tournament season are set up to minimize interference with other sports; however, there is an understanding that some overlap will occur.
- We expect our parents to understand and implement pitching guidelines to protect their athlete from overuse of their pitching/throwing arm.
- Athletes are expected to attend the majority of winter training which are developed to be age-appropriate with a focus on functional conditioning for the baseball athlete.
